An avalance of Unity material

Posted on: 03-23-2009 Posted in: Unity

Wow, what a week. Unity Technologies released Unity 2.5, which supports Windows as an authoring environment and is sure to bring all sorts of people into the community. AngryAnt released Path 1.0, which we started using during its beta for a client project along with Behave (for character behavior trees), and is leaps and bounds ahead of its previous version.

Not to be left behind, our own Rock’N‘Roll just got showcased in an interview with Unity CEO David Helgason, along with another project we’re currently involved on (more on that soon). We also just wrapped up work on a client prototype and sent it over on Saturday, so it can be demonstrated at the upcoming GDC 2009. It was an amazing collaboration during a very short, focused period, and I’m very proud of the end result, particularly considering the relatively little time we had. For now everything is under NDA, but I hope we’ll be able to post more information soon, along with some of the amazing 3D work they did.

Getting back to work now, there’s a lot more to be done. Time to move on to the next project.
